Pre‑Wedding Services

Relax—we’ll handle the details. Our bridal team coordinates spot cleaning, pressing, and assistance for the mother of the bride/groom and bridesmaids. With your pre‑wedding pressing, you receive a complimentary Wedding Day Emergency Kit.

Wedding Dress Cleaning

If you purchased a sample gown, we can clean it prior to your first alteration appointment. Spot cleaning is also available.

Wedding Dress Pressing

Final pressing for your dress and veil so they’re flawless for the big day.

How It Works

We press/steam your gown for safe travel, placing it on bust-form hangers and protecting it in an extra‑long white poly bag.

Wedding Day Emergency Kit

Includes: $50 Gift Certificate for Bridal Gown Cleaning & Preservation, cotton balls, Q‑tips, lint roller, mouthwash, hand lotion, tissues, sewing kit, bobby pins, safety pins, band‑aids, emery board, extra earring backs, and (if needed) a crochet hook for elastic loops over buttons.

Brides call it a lifesaver—perfect for averting last‑minute hiccups.

Post‑Wedding Services

Wedding Dress Cleaning & Preservation

Bring your gown to us as soon as possible to minimize stains setting in. As a Certified Wedding Gown Specialist™, we inspect, clean, and preserve with our MuseumCare™ process—professionally, safely, and to the highest standards.

We also clean and preserve veils, gloves, and shawls. (We avoid structured handbags and shoes in the chest due to adhesives.)

Post‑Wedding FAQs

Do I need an appointment?

No. Visit our main location (6845 Caine Road, Columbus, OH 43235). In Licking County, you may use either Granville Cleaners location. The initial inspection/paperwork takes ~20 minutes.

What about tough stains?

Schedule a free consultation. We’ll assess realistic outcomes, and “invisible stains” (champagne, icing, clear beverages, perspiration) can oxidize and yellow—clean your gown even if it appears clean.

Can I open the preservation box?

You can view your gown through the chest window. We do not seal the chest and provide white cotton gloves to gently recenter the bodice if it shifts. Removing the gown requires re‑cleaning before returning to the chest.

What are your guarantees?

We advise how/where to store your acid‑free chest (temperature‑controlled, never plastic, not in basement/attic/hot rooms/garage/crawl space/storage). As Central Ohio’s only Association of Wedding Gown Specialists member, your guarantee is honored worldwide.

How long does preservation take?

We handle 1,000+ gowns/year. Turnaround is typically 6–10 weeks (Dec–Apr is fastest; May–Nov is busiest). Have a special date? Ask—we often can accommodate with a month’s notice.

Cleaning Services — Restoration

There are many steps to restoring clothing and wedding dresses. As a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists and with decades of experience, we know what it takes to restore garments to their original glamour.

Highlights: Close inspection and fabric testing → cover delicates → pre‑spot → delicate cleaning → expert pressing and finishing.

Why We’re Different

With one central plant, five stores, and 2,500+ home‑delivery clients, we can classify garments so specialists focus on specific fabrics, garments, and even shades. Example: a trousers finisher dedicated to dark shades; two specialists who handle only blouses and suit coats. Our 60+ experts gain more experience in a week than many technicians in a year.

We’ve invested in equipment that supports environmentally responsible cleaning without compromising quality.

Tips for the Bride

Wedding Gown Fittings

Bring your wedding shoes to every fitting; wear the same undergarments for consistency.

Hanging Your Gown

Use inside loops attached to sturdy seams; never hang by shoulders/straps. Keep the hem off the floor.

Inspection

Check for loose threads, beads, buttons, seams, and crushed areas a few days before the wedding. Need a refreshing press? Call us.

Garment Bag

On the day, remove the gown from the bag and fluff layers. Don’t iron/steam yourself to avoid water stains. Our pressed gowns come in a protective, billowy white bag—ready to step into.

Hair & Makeup

Cover your front with a sheet; wear a button‑down/robe while you finish hair and makeup.

Caring for Your Gown

Stand when possible; if you sit, use a backless stool/chair to keep fullness and avoid wrinkles.

Getting to the Reception

Lay the train across the seat next to you; sit forward to avoid wrinkling. Watch doors, puddles, mud, and newly sealed blacktop.

Photos

Use a white pillowcase/towel underfoot outside. Avoid black mulch and fresh driveway sealer—two of the hardest stains to remove.

No Sparklers

We’ve seen irreparable sparkler damage—consider other send‑off options.

Storage Afterward

Avoid plastic (emits fumes and traps moisture). Contact us for cleaning & preservation.

Cleaning Matters

“Invisible stains” (champagne, icing, perspiration, clear beverages) oxidize and yellow—clean even if it looks spotless.
